How to use our Tumbler Transfers

*These are what work for us when we use our Sublimation or DTF Transfers.
Please note each heat press can change time, heat and pressure.
We are not accountable for any mess-ups.

You can find our Amazon List of things Here!

Recommended Supplies to also have for pressing our transfers -
*Sublimation transfers - An item meant for Sublimation - Gloves that can handle the heat, Heat tape (We get ours from Amazon), Butcher paper to wrap around the image after it is taped to make sure to protect your press.

Sublimation Transfers for Tumblers- Make sure you are using an item that is meant for Sublimation, it will not sublimate on a regular cup.  I have made two video's on wrapping a tumbler, i will be re making them at some point.. (ignore the terrible voice i used haha)

HOW TO:

  • I use a tumbler press that i got from Heat press nation, there is some really great ones on Amazon as well that you can use.
  • Depending the image on your tumbler is depending the heat and time. I say this because if the image has mostly black then it will need more heat and need to go longer (black for sublimation is the last color to release from the paper)
  • Lets test the pressure by putting a blank tumbler in your tumbler press that is not currently on, Do note that as it heats up it will tighten some. Once you have a good pressure where it take a little to close it but not where you have to force it then it is good to go.
  • Wrapping your tumbler, there is so many ways to do this and everyone has a way they say works for them. I have tried so many ways and this is what works for me.
  • Cut out your image all the way, do not leave any white if it is a full wrap, if it is an image then cut as close to the image as you can. Once you have it cut out do a test wrap around your tumbler to make sure it fits. If it overlaps a ton go back and cut off a little, you do not want a huge overlap. IF it hangs off the tumbler top or bottom then trim that off.. ONLY DO A LITTLE AT A TIME.
  • Once you have the size you want it is time to cut some heat transfer tape, you will need at least 7 piece 2 inches long to start.
  • Now refer to the video's i have linked above on how to wrap the tumbler and how to press the tumbler.

Heat and time -

A tumbler with lots of bright colors and barely any black - 345F for 50 seconds and then rotate a half rotation and do another 50 seconds.

A tumbler with bright colors but has black print - 345F for 50 seconds and then rotate a half rotation and do another 50 seconds, Pull the tumbler out and slide just the top back in about an inch or two and press for 15 seconds and then rotate and do another 15 seconds.

A tumbler mostly black print - 360F for 50 seconds, rotate a third of the way and press for 25 seconds, then rotate again another third of the way for another 50 seconds, Pull the tumbler out and slide just the top back in about an inch or two and press for 15 seconds and then rotate and do another 15 seconds.

*You can now carefully unwrap the tumbler and enjoy!!
