Sublimation Transfers for Shirts/Hoodies/Tote Bags/Makeup bags ect. Make sure you are using an item that is meant for Sublimation, Shirts should be more Poly count than cotton, The more Poly the better. If it is 50/50% it will be a more vintage look and not so vibrant.

HOW TO:

  • Heat the heat press to 385F and time for 60sec. (please note some products need more time and more heat, if you buy a sublimation product it should tell you recommended time and heat)
  • While it is heating up get your product ready. If you are doing a shirt, hoodie or even tote you will need to prepare it. Take the print and fold it in half only to crease the top and bottom (try not to crease the image to much).
  • Once the Heat press is warmed up 250F or more go ahead and put the item flat on your heat press, press the object for 10-15 sec to get out excess moisture.
  • This is the time you will make sure your pressure is good, With sublimation you do not need it to be more than a medium pressure. Sometimes to much pressure will make the image bleed.
  • Now fold the item in half, make sure it lines up nicely, lay on the heat press and press for 10 sec to cause a nice crease. (the thicker the item the longer it will need to be pressed to get a good crease).
  • Once the heat press is heated all the way lay your item on the press, make sure it is flat and lined up so the press will lay where you want it to.
  • Now grab the transfer and lay it on the item you are pressing it on, line up the crease on the image with the crease you made on the item. (ideal rule is 3 fingers from the collar of shirt or hoodie to place top of image)
  • USE the heat transfer tape and place a couple pieces to hold the image down so it does not move during the pressing, it will ghost if it moves and mess up what you are making.
  • Close your press until it locks in place and let it run its 60 sec countdown.
  • Once it pops open or you open it (if you do not have one that opens for you) remove the transfer, Do not drag it as it could make ghosting, Pull away from the item.
  • You are done!!!

Make sure to have it last wash inside out, tumble dry or hand dry.
