How to use our Mug Transfers

*These are what work for us when we use our Sublimation or DTF Transfers.
Please note each heat press can change time, heat and pressure.
We are not accountable for any mess-ups.

You can find our Amazon List of things Here!

Recommended Supplies to also have for pressing our transfers -
*Sublimation transfers - An item meant for Sublimation - Heat tape (We get ours from Amazon), Butcher paper to wrap around the image after it is taped to make sure to protect your press.

Sublimation Transfers for mugs - Make sure you are using an item that is meant for Sublimation, it will not sublimate on a regular mug.

HOW TO:

  • I use a Cricut mug press for my mugs, I will try to give you info for a tumbler press you can use a mug as well but for a convection oven please google how to.
  • Cricut - Heat the heat press (Cricut has its own heat, you just turn it on and let it heat up, there is no heat or time you select).
  • Tumbler/Mug press that has temp, time and pressure - Heat (check with manufacture that you got your mugs from for he heat and time).
  • For the Tumbler/mug press put a blank mug in the press and clamp it, if it is loose you will need to tighten it, if you cant clamp it without a ton of effort you will need to loosen it a little.
  • As it is heating up - Time to wrap you mug.
  • To prevent ghosting cut the paper around the image as close as possible as you can, The more white the more room it has to ghost.
  • Place the image where you want it on the mug, (recommend having heat tape pieces ready)  While holding the image in place grab a piece of heat tape and start to tape it down to the mug, Make sure the image is not raised at all, have it as tight as possible with no gaps around the image. (lots of people just tape it once or twice and it can come out fine but i do not risk it as i do not want to keep wasting mugs).
  • Once fully taped and the press it fully heated it is time to put the mug in the press.
  • Cricut mug press or tumbler/mug press are pretty much same just slide the mug in and clamp it closed. Now leave it until the time is up and it starts to beep.
  • Open and pull your mug out. (a lot of people unwrap their mug right away i do not as it has caused a lot of ghosting in the past) I place the mug on a safe pad and let it sit for 10 minutes to cool, sometimes longer.
  • Once it is cooled you can unwrap it.
