When Panic Sets In

When Panic Sets In

Moving nearly all my animals to one room, I didn't realize how hot the room would get and could be dangerous for some of them.

Today I spent nearly all day rearranging my animal room to hopefully help the ones who are getting too warm and the ones not getting warm enough.

All my frog enclosures are now moved on one side of the room except my white tree frogs, hope to move them next so they can be with all the other frogs lol. (Not same enclosure). Moved some enclosures down and others up as heat rises — only certain ones will be good with the heat. Most my frogs can die from anything over 80 degrees so I check them regularly, I even have a fan that blows the warm air away from their enclosures.

The babies (Crested and Gargoyle gecko) had to be moved as they were just getting too warm and if that continues could cause heat stroke, especially in the babies.

My animal room is a big mess right now but I'm excited it's getting a face lift and the animals should be so much happier.

With that, I've also been noticing my Cuban false chameleon acting weird, falling easily and struggling to climb which started happening when I installed an auto mister to keep up on her humidity. I think it has made her so frightened and weak that she is struggling, so I've undone that, and cleaned her enclosure so she can't climb and hopefully she will rest and get her strength back and realize no more auto mister. I'll just manually do it as it's not worth her life having the auto misters. I really hope that's all that was wrong and nothing more serious. I worry and can barely sleep or function when one of my babies are not feeling well.

I've also made a list on Amazon if anyone wants to get my babies anything but please never feel obligated. AMAZON LINK

Anyway, I'm off to bed as it's 3am and today I'll be cleaning more of the animal room, then doing fish tank cleanings and cleaning up my Russian tortoise enclosure!!

UPDATE: We believe she was just super dehydrated because she was so scared of the auto mister she would panic and not get the water she needs. Even if something is recomended doesnt mean its the right thing always judge by your pets reactions and how they handle things. Much love..
