How Many Pets Do I Have?! Life With 180+ Animals (And a Runaway Vampire Crab)

When talking to people and i tell them i have a lot of pets they expect maybe 6 cats or 4 dogs even a couple fish but when i tell them all the pets i actually  have the way they looked shocked is amusing, I even have people act like they are the ones who are taking care of them all and tell me its overwhelming even tho they have never been in my house lol. The reality of it is yes it can be overwhelming but in the most rewarding way (If that makes sense).

My goal is to give all my animals big and small the best lives they can have in my care. Some days i will spend 5 hours straight working on one enclosure to make it perfect for its inhabitant and other days i spend hours just feeding, misting and looking at them as if it was the first time i seen them. I do not care how many pets you have be it 1 or 200 they are all your children anyone who says otherwise shouldn't be in my business (animals) anyway, however i do want to spread awareness and teach people even the scariest of animals deserve love. 

I tend to ramble haha - I just hope my blog posts or journal entries or whatever we call them will help others and just give insight to what i go through everyday. I am very fortunate having the support of my hubby and daughter who helped take care of all my pets while i was on bedrest and recovering after surgery and even then i still trying to take care of them the best i could under the circumstances. 

Today August 20th - Today i cleaned and redid my Vampire Crab enclosures, one of the crabs got loose in the house and had to track it down lmfao, that was very stressful but i found him only after having to move the tall shelf and hope i didn't tip it and knock everything off of it and guess what HE WAS NOT UNDER THAT, so where did he go?? I pulled out my phone and used my flashlight and looked around that's how i tracked him down, he decided to go on a walk along the wall behind my other tanks lol. They are super quick and they can fit in the tiniest spots OH and they will climb anything to escape but i love them. Once i knew he was ok i then had to move everything back and clean up my mess i made (ROLLS EYES).

I have two enclosures with for them a 10 gal aquarium tank and a 12x12x12 enclosure. I have two because if you house different variants (colors) together 90% of the time they will fight until death but if you keep the same colors together they live for the most part happily. Yes some people mix variants together and works out but id rather not risk their lives that way and keep them as stress free as i can. 


This is the first time in my 43 years of life where i feel content where i do not feel like I'm missing something or that i need more or worse i need to move, I've moved a lot in my life and I dunno if its age, pets or what but I'm happy where i am in life and i just want to share it all with you.

The bottom two are the crab enclosures and the top tank is for snails, we call it the cafeteria as they feed my pea puffers (will have to show you them in another post).
